Each photo book has different cover options that you can check out in our comparison guide. You can change the cover design after you've selected one, as long as it is an option within that specific book type. You can see the options for your book type on the left hand side of the editor under Layouts or Cover Design. Since our foil stamping is done by hand using custom metal stamps, we cannot customize it beyond what's available in the editor.

What cover options are available?
Each photo book offers its own set of cover designs, materials, and customization options. To compare all available options, please refer to our "Comparing our Layflat Albums" and "Foil Stamping Comparison" guides.
Can I change my cover after starting my book?
Yes. You can update several cover-related options at any time, including:
- Book size
- Fabric color
- Foil color
- Paper type (if applicable)
- Cover Design or Layouts
To view available cover designs for your book, navigate to the Layouts or Cover Design section on the left side of the editor.
Can I switch to a different book type?
No. Once a project has been started, it cannot be converted to a different photo book type.
As a workaround, you can create a new project and use a PDF proof of your current book as a reference:
- Click the three lines at the top of the editor.
- That will bring up a menu bar on the right
- Select Email Print Proof
- Enter your email address and send
Your proof will arrive within a few minutes and can help guide your new project.
Can I customize the foil stamping?
Foil stamping cannot be customized beyond the preset options shown in the editor. This is because each stamp is created using custom metal dies, which do not allow for adjustments to font size or style.
What if I run out of characters on my cover?
Character limits are set based on the available foil stamping templates and cannot be expanded. If you need more space, consider selecting a different cover design with a larger text allowance, available under Layouts or Cover Design in the editor.
