Envelope addressing is available for most cards, including Holiday, Christmas, New Year, and Save the Date designs. You can print return, recipient, or both addresses on one side of the envelope, with style options depending on the card type. Addresses can be added in the editor or uploaded via a CSV template. Spare envelopes are not printed, the service is not available on the app, and all address lists must be uploaded at checkout.

Is envelope addressing available for all cards?
Envelope addressing is offered for most cards, including Holiday, Christmas, New Year, and Save the Date cards. Some card types—such as certain Birth Announcements, Thank You cards, and Folded cards—do not currently support addressing. We hope to expand this option in the future.

How will addresses be printed?
You can print return, recipient, or both return and recipient addresses.
Printing is only on one side of the envelope.
Style options (envelope color, font color, font styles) vary by card type.
Placement of addresses on the envelope cannot be customized.

How do I add envelope addressing to my order?
You can watch this video tutorial to guide you through all of the steps or read more about them below.
There are two ways to add envelope addressing:
-
If you are on the card product page you'll see a section where you can select envelope addressing.
If you have already started your project in the editor in the top toolbar go to Step 2: Envelope Addressing and then you'll use the right-hand panel to select the options you would like.

Adding Recipient Addresses
There are two ways to add recipient addresses:
Option 1: Upload or Create a List in Your Account
Log into your account and go to My Account > Address Lists.
Select Add New Group to create a list.
-
Choose how to add contacts:
Use Template: Click 'Make a copy' and fill out our Google Sheets template, then go to File > Download > Comma Separated Values (.csv) and upload as a CSV.
Manual Entry: Add contacts one at a time using the form.
Upload CSV: Upload a CSV file you’ve prepared.
Once saved, select Use Existing List during the Envelope & Addressing step in the card editor.
A few notes on this process:
- Clicking the X in the top right corner exits the flow and nothing is saved.
- Back takes you back one step
- Next takes you forward one step
- Save is the final button before the upload is complete
Option 2: Upload a CSV File During Your Project
In the card editor, go to Step 2: Envelope & Addressing.
Select Upload New Address List (.CSV).
Create a copy using our Addressing Google Sheet Template.
Use our instructions and template to ensure correct formatting, then click 'Upload Address List'.
Important Tips for Formatting
Save your file as a CSV only.
Each field has a 50-character limit.
Fields required: Name, Street, City, State, Zip Code (Street 2 and Country are optional).
For international addresses, we recommend leaving some envelopes blank and handwriting those addresses.
Format postal codes correctly (e.g., set to “Zip Code” in Excel or “Plain Text” in Google Sheets, especially if starting with zero).

Spare Envelopes, Ordering on the App, Ordering More Envelopes than Addresses, and Best User Experience
Spare envelopes included in your order will not be printed.
Addressing is not available through our app.
If your CSV has fewer addresses than envelopes, the remaining envelopes will print with return addresses only.
For the best experience, use a computer to download and complete the template.
Can I order blank envelopes?
Yes, you can go to our Envelope Refill page to order blank envelopes. These will not have any addresses printed on them.

Troubleshooting Upload Issues
If your template won’t upload:
Confirm the file is saved as a CSV.
Ensure all required fields are filled (except optional ones).
Do not edit or remove the header row in the template.
Make sure spacing is correct (e.g., “Street 1” not “Street1”).
Check the error message for the specific line that needs fixing.
If issues continue, review our additional troubleshooting tips or contact support.

Can I email my address list after placing an order?
No. All addresses must be uploaded in the editor at checkout. Our system is automated and we cannot manually add addresses after an order is placed.
