Does the price of the frame include the print inside?
Yes! With the exception of our standard tabletop frames without prints, all of our prices include the frame and print (arrives assembled).
Do the frames include real glass or plexi-glass?
We use high-quality acrylic plexi-glass in all of our frames (excludes Modern Wall Tile). Acrylic is the safest option for shipping as it's less likely to shatter, and offers increased UV protection as well.
Can I change out the print inside my frame?
Yes! Here's how:
Paper-back frames: To change the print with a paper-back frame, you will need to remove the wiring and rip the paper backing.
Toggle-back frames: To change the print with a toggle-back frame, you can remove the backing and change out the print. Just note, that any frame 20x20 or larger, the print is adhered to the mat, so you will not be able to change the print with the same mat.
Standard Tabletop frames: The Tabletop Frame comes with or without a print (you choose!), but if you order the frame with print and would like to change it out, you can easily remove the backing and change out the print.
Scallop Tabletop Frame: The Scallop Tabletop Frame comes with prints (you choose between 1 or 5 prints). Made easily interchangable with the drop-in photo access and zero-pane frame.
Modern Wall Tile: The Modern Wall Tile is a drop-in style frame and comes with one print. To change the print in the frame you easily pop out the current print and replace it with a new one.
Can I order a frame without a photo inside?
Yes! You can choose to order a standard tabletop frame with or without a print, with a price adjustment. You can also order a blank frame in many other styles - just proceed through the editor without uploading an image. Please note there are no price adjustments for gallery, deep-set, or modern metal frames ordered without prints.
With our Scallop Tabletop frame, you can order a singlular print without an image added, however you will receive a blank print.
What is included with my frame?
Your framed print arrives ready to hang, including acrylic plexi-glass, paper backing and wire mounting hardware.
For the Standard Tabletop Frames, those will include a stand to sit frame on a shelf or tabletop and hanging mechanism to hang on wall.
For the Scallop Tabletop Frame, it will include a solid brass peg for standing upright. No hanging material available.
For the Modern Wall Tile, those will include adhesive for you to stick to your desired surface.
Is the Artifact Uprising logo on the framed prints?
Yes, there is a removable sticker on the back. The logo is also included on the product shipping packaging, and cannot be removed.
With our Scallop Tabletop Frame, our logo is stamped onto the back and not removable.
What type of paper is used for the framed prints?
The paper is acid-free, archival-grade, matte, FSC-certified, with a smooth, neutral-white finish.
With our Scallop Tabletop Frame, the prints are on a matte Mohawk Superfine Eggshell, 120lb paper using our classic digital press printing style.
What is the printing method used for the framed prints?
The prints are created with ink-jet printing. Also known as giclée prints, ink-jet is a method that draws on 10 inks to create a fluid finish and incredible resolution. (Excludes Modern Wall Tile which uses press printing)
As for our Scallop Tabletop Frame, the prints are our Everyday Prints, printed using our classic digital press printing style.
