Photo Curation Services
Photo Curation is simply the process of narrowing down a larger group of images. When you purchase Artifact Uprising's Photo Curation Service, one of our expert designers will hand-select photos for you, so you can focus on telling your story and creating your next project with ease.
Rather than sorting through the images yourself, our team will pick and choose the images that will work best for your project, and provide you with a final group of hand-picked images to use in your next project.
You can pair this service with Album Design Services if you are wanting our team to design your entire Layflat project for you.

How long does Photo Curation take?
Once your original images are provided you can expect the selected images to be uploaded to your AU account and your Design Services Account Manager to update you via email within 4 business days. The images to be curated must be provided within 30 days of your purchase.

How and where do I upload my images to be curated?
We have a few methods for image sharing that each ensure the quality of your photos is not altered in the sharing process.
Please do not upload your original images to your Artifact Uprising account.
Once you purchase Photo Curation Services, your Account Manager will send over detailed instructions on how to share your original images with us so we can get started curating them.

How do I access my selected images?
After the photo curation process is complete, your selected images will be uploaded into a new gallery in your Artifact Uprising account, ready to use in a new or existing project. Your selected images can be added to a new sharable Google Drive folder upon specific request.
Note: Please do not use the Artifact Uprising website for photo storage, be sure to store and backup your files elsewhere.

How many images will I get in the gallery?
The final total of selected images will depend on a few factors, including what type of project you are wanting to create with the images and how many were provided to begin. We typically curate images down to a selected total of 150-300 images. If you would like this final total to be a bit different, you can let your Design Services Account Manager know.
For reference, we typically see a 90-page Layflat Photo Album showcase 140-160 images, and a 200-page Hardcover Photo Book showcase 280-320 images depending on the type of images and style of layouts chosen.

How much does Photo Curation Cost?
We currently have five different tiers to choose from based on your Starting Image Quantity:
- Tier 1: $79 for up to 500 images
- Tier 2: $99 for 501-1,000 images
- Tier 3: $129 for 1,001-1,500 images
- Tier 4: $149 for 1,501-2,500 images
- Tier 5: $199 for over 2,500 images

How does Photo Curation work?
Purchase Photo Curation Services: After purchasing, you’ll receive the next steps via email (typically within 1 business day). This includes uploading steps, and a brief questionnaire about the type of project you are wanting to create with your images. This is where you can share your project vision with us!
Upload Your Photos: Your Design Services Account Manager will provide steps to upload your photos. Please do not upload photos to your Artifact Uprising account.
Confirm Your Details: Once we receive your images and we confirm a few details, our team will get started curating your images.
Your designer will hand-select images based on your project vision, and upload the selected images into a gallery in your Artifact Uprising account. This is typically 150-300 images depending on the project details and starting quantity. You'll also be sent a new Google Photos folder with the selected images once the process is complete.
That's it! We will email you once your photos are ready, typically within 4 business days. Enjoy a gallery of organized and hand-selected images, uploaded and ready to create your next Artifact Uprising project.

A few things to note:
- One AU gallery with selected images per customer will be provided.
- The Photo Curation Services fee includes one round of photo curation within the image quantity range, there are no additional revisions or requests included.
- Photo Curation Services does not include identifying low-resolution images or image resizing. Please upload images that meet the specified requirements listed here. File Type: .jpg or .png, Resolution: 150-300 DPI, File Size: Under 25MB per file, Color Profile: sRGB.
- Please do not use Photo Curation Services or your Artifact Uprising account as photo storage, be sure to have your files backed up elsewhere.
- Images must be uploaded within 30 days, after which point the service will be canceled.
