For our Layflat Albums, Wedding Layflat Albums, Wedding Guest Books, and Signature Layflat Albums, we offer two different paper types:
Superfine paper is a traditional textured, matte paper. It does not have a sheen to it. See below, the superfine option is labelled 'eggshell paper'.
Lustre paper has a slight sheen to it (reminiscent of traditional photo paper), and is smooth (not textured). Check out this video featuring our production process and Lustre paper!

What paper type do you recommend?
There's no right or wrong option! Your choice should be mainly based on personal preference. That said, here's a few things we've found work well:
For guest books: We recommend superfine paper for guest books (or any book you're writing in), as ink sinks in and dries faster on the matte paper. With lustre, the ink is more likely to smear.
For weddings: We love the lustre paper for wedding albums, as the shine makes details (like rings and dresses) really stand out.
