Can I design my pages in a third party program?
Absolutely! Currently we do not have a direct PDF uploader tool, but you can use a third party program to design your book and then export it as a jpeg into our editor. When designing your book, add .125" on all sides to account for the trim zone in our editor.
For example, an 8.5" x 8.5" book needs to be designed as an 8.75" x 8.75" book in a third-party software. Make sure you do not have any important part of your design within the .125" area around all the exterior sides. Be sure to export your jpegs in the sRGB color profile at 300 DPI for optimal printing and color accuracy. Finally, upload your jpegs and drop them into place using the full-bleed page template.
Can I create my own layouts within the editor?
You sure can! To do this, choose the all-white page layout, and drag it onto your project and then use the ‘new image’ tool found under the layout tab to add an image box on the page. From there you can drag your image onto the layout and resize, move, and crop it as you’d like. Here is how to copy and paste a custom layout within our layout:
- Create your custom layout
- Hold down Shift and select each of the image boxes you've created
- Hit Control 'C'
- Move to a new page and hit Control ‘V’
Can I duplicate a custom layout from one page to another?
