Can I design my pages in a third-party program?
Absolutely! Currently, we do not have a direct PDF uploader tool, but you can use a third-party program to design your book and then export each page as a JPEG, then upload it into our editor. When designing your book, add .125" on all four sides to account for the trim zone.
For example, an 8.5" x 8.5" book needs to be designed as an 8.75" x 8.75" book in a third-party software. Make sure you do not have any important part of your design within the .125" area around all the exterior sides. Be sure to export your JPEGs in the sRGB color profile at 300 DPI for optimal printing and color accuracy. Finally, upload your JPEGs and drop them into place using the full-bleed page template. Can I create my own layouts within the editor?
Currently, there is no way to create completely custom layouts within our editor. In the meantime, we are working hard to bring all-new functionality and layout options to the editor. With these changes, we're all ears for feedback and suggestions - drop our team a note to chat further.
